Not far from the beautiful sea of Otranto, Palazzo Ferras is an elegant house, which has been restored so to enrich the original characteristics of a XVI century palace with the modern comforts; a swimming pool in a vast garden featuring also a furnished pergola add up to its charm. Placed in the historic centre of Muro Leccese, one of the most charming little towns of Salento, Palazzo Ferras benefits of a privileged position, in so far it is just a few steps away from the centre, while at the same time offering the privacy of a villa.
The house is full of pieces of art and design, and features a beautiful swimming pool area in the garden, where the furnished pergola with a 20-seat table allows enjoying lunch or dinner al fresco in a very fascinating atmosphere. The house is built on two levels.
Ground floor: living area, comprising a large and fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a 10-seat dining table and a nice fireplace which makes dining even more pleasurable in winter, a particularly bright living room provided with a large TV; 2 double bedrooms (separated by a door) and 2 shower rooms, one of which en-suite, while the other located in a sort of cave that you reach walking across a short outside passageway.
First floor: a living room with TV and a fireplace, a very spacious suite with one double bed and one single bed with a private shower room; walking through a corridor, there you access another very spacious double bedroom and a twin/double bedroom, sharing another shower room. On the terrace, there is a lovely outdoor sitting area, and also a shower with hot water.
Outside: a well-kept garden with an equipped pergola where
enjoying meals all together; next to it, another garden area with a
ping-pong table; on a slightly elevated level and at a sufficient
distance from the house (which makes it safer if there are troddlers or
kids), there is a beautiful swimming pool area surrounded by vegetation and fro where you can enjoy a nice view over the church of Muro Leccese.
Muro Leccese is one of the finest towns in the southern area of Lecce, never too busy. The beautiful sea of Otranto, one of the most amazing coastal places in Italy, is only 10 minute drive away. Palazzo Ferras is close to the lovely main square of the town, and just a few steps away from delicious patisseries, fine restaurants (“Nonna Rosa” for instance is renowned for fish specialties and an excellent selection of wines), grocery stores, bars, wineries, bakers shops, etc.
The authenticity of this historic palace has been preserved through
its careful restoration, enhancing its pristine beauty and architectural
characteristics with the modern comforts and an exquisite touch of
design in its interior décor.
