Description
Villa Ambra is a modern villa with pool and a sea-view Jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace (unheated), where you can enjoy wonderful sunsets on the sea of the western coast of Santa Maria di Leuca, which you can reach in a 5-minute drive.
The house recalls the local architectural tradition in such features as the dry-stone covering of some portions of the outside walls, and the star-vaulted ceilings of the living room. A vast enclosed garden rich in trees and ornamental plants surrounds it, keeping its privacy from the other neighboring houses of this residential area in the countryside.
Villa Ambra is built on two independent levels (no inner staircase from one to another). On the ground floor, walking across a verandah equipped with an 8-seat table and overlooking the pool area, a large French window gives access to the living room where on one side there is a conversation and relax corner and, on the opposite side, a fully-equipped kitchen. On this level there are also a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom with an adjoining shower room accessible from the passageway.
Outside a staircase leads to the basement level, where there is another equipped kitchen and other two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room. On this level there is also a little laundry room, accessible from the passageway.
The structure of the house thus makes Villa Ambra ideal for a big family, or two families, or also a group of friends, since it allows space to keep one’s privacy alongside common areas where to gather together.
Outside, past the furnished verandah, there is the paved pool area equipped with sun-beds and other garden furniture. On one side of the house there is also a stone BBQ. And last but not least, the rooftop sea-view terrace is provided with a dining table and a Jacuzzi, making it the perfect spot to relax with an aperitif while admiring the sun setting over the sea.
Surrounding areas
Villa Ambra is at only 1 km from the western coast of Leuca, characterized by the presence of several grottoes, which we suggest you visit with a guided boat tour (departing from the harbor in Leuca or other seaside localities such as Torre Vado for example). You can have a swim in the sea plunging from one of the little rocky bays of the coast, the most famous of which is certainly the so-called “Ciolo”, at about 4 km from the villa.
For the beach lovers, about 8 km away, going towards the north, there are the amazing sandy beaches of the locality of Pescoluse, and further up those of Torre Pali, then Torre San Giovanni, up to the Gallipoli area.
