Festivals are mostly related to typical and local products, during which can be tasted the star product of the festival and many other flavours of Puglia alongside dances and folk music. Among the numerous festivals: the Municeddha Festival or Snail Festival in Cannole (end of 1st week of August); te lu Mieru Festival in Carpignano Salentino (early September), a wine festival that is celebrated since 1974; the Volìa Cazzata Festival in Martano (2nd week of October), the crushed olive festival to augur a good harvest and the production of a high quality olive oil.
