Originally a 14th-century Byzantine reception hall, this remarkable residence has evolved through the ages, serving as a Jesuit philosophy school in the 17th century and a Palace of Justice in the 18th. Each era has left its mark, creating a rich tapestry of history. A meticulous recent restoration has masterfully preserved original architectural elements and decorative details, seamlessly blending historical charm with contemporary amenities.

Le Corti di Bisanzio is spread over two levels, offering five beautifully appointed bedrooms that comfortably accommodate up to ten guests. Spacious communal areas, including a welcoming living room and enchanting outdoor spaces, provide the perfect setting for shared moments and relaxation.

The main entrance leads to a captivating hall, featuring Lecce stone flooring and exposed walls that whisper tales of the past. From here, the eye is captured by the first courtyard, while on the left opens onto the fully equipped kitchen, which leads to the dining room, bathed in natural light that filters through the second courtyard. A unique highlight awaits in the first courtyard: a room housing two ancient rock-carved pools, offering a truly unique and rejuvenating experience. Also from the first courtyard, an elegant staircase leads up to a two-level suite, complete with a ground-floor double bedroom featuring a stone bed, and an upper level boasting a shower room, kitchenette, and private terrace. Opposite to the suite, another staircase leads to a furnished terrace, where a pergola-shaded dining table sets the stage for magical al-fresco dinners under the stars. The terrace overlooks the charming village and connects to the bright living room, a haven of comfort with a projector TV, a built-in bookcase, and an antique 19th-century billiard table. Exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings create a warm and inviting ambiance.
The second courtyard, graced by a stunning swimming pool, is the heart of the property. Here, you can bask in the Salentine sun and enjoy refreshing dips. This courtyard also provides access to the ground-floor bedrooms. Two independent double bedrooms and a third bedroom - accessible via a hallway with a WC connecting the two courtyards - offer a flexible layout. This third bedroom comprises two communicating rooms: a twin bedroom and a double bedroom with a round bed, ideal for families or couples traveling with children. Each bedroom boasts a private en-suite bathroom for ultimate privacy and convenience.
