They are two beaches that embrace the town pervaded by the smell of citrus; you can choose the beach to go depending on the wind and sand/stone preferences.
The West beach is a paradise for surfers due to exposure to the winds of the north and is bounded by the mouth of Romandato stream, alternating then hot water and very cold water currents (A panacea for your legs, almost a natural spa).
Vieste and Porto Greco

Its beach called Porto Greco is a jewel where you can accessed through a dirt path, which sanctions the distance from traffic and the street.

The 19 Monopoli coves are a constellation of small coves, probably the most beautiful part of the coast of Bari.

Saltern of Torre Colimena
We must say one thing: the beach in the Natural Park of the Saline dei Monaci, in Torre Colimena (Taranto) are never so busy!
This strip of paradise beach made up by thin sand and the clearest sea, is not surrounded by bars, restaurants but mainly by nature and a fer streets. That’s the reason why this place is much appreciated by wild life and nature lovers.
Behind the beach, a campsite where you can grab a drink and a local “frisa” if you get hungry; the rest is just sea, nature and beauty.
Torre dell’Orso
Among the most crowded beaches of Salento in high summer there are those in Torre dell’Orso. What a dream to have them all for yourself in this period!
The coast of The Due Sorelle (Two Sisters, 2 rocks that the beach is named after) is entirely visible, you can cover it all by walking. Then you can wait for the cocktail hour and go up to the Casaccia, lively pub where you can eat something typical and not too elaborate, drinking and listening to music, of course, always with sea view.
Moreover, you’ll easily find parking. Something that would make July and August travellers cry.
Gallipoli
Gallipoli and its coast enclose strips of sand and wet rocks from made special just for their wild charm. Among these, the best known are Punta della Suina and Punta Prosciutto.
Surrounded by forests of Mediterranean scrub, you can choose between bathhouses still not crowded and cheaper that in August and free beaches. Definitely free.
Gagliano del Capo
In Salento, in the heart of the Park Costa Otranto – Santa Maria di Leuca and Bosco di Tricase, you’ll find Gagliano, typical and magical seaside village, whose cultural and natural heritage is worth a trip to get to the tip of the heel of Italy .
